How do portfolio shoots lead to paid work?

We're only a few days away from the doors to “Perfect Portfolio" opening up to the waitlist. If you haven't already joined the waitlist, make sure you do here so that you can grab one of the first 30 spots on the course!

With that in mind, I wanted to chat today about how portfolio shoots lead to getting booked by paid clients.

It's no exaggeration when I say that 90% of my clients refer to my personal work when they're looking to hire me. Sure, I have a page on my website that showcases some of my advertising work that I've done, but that's mostly there to act as evidence that I can pull off a commercial style shoot.

Clients don't look at that page to get an idea of who I am as an artist. They know that those shoots are designed by someone else. They want to know who I am as an artist.

Portfolio shoots are where you clients can see your style. They're where they get to see what you can bring to the table, how your creative mind works, and what you can bring to the table for them.

Not only that, but portfolio shoots are in incredible networking opportunity! The make up artists, hair stylists, fashion stylists, models… all of those team members that you collaborate with are going to be your biggest advocates.

If you're not sure where to start with portfolio work, or you'd like guidance on how to make your portfolio shoots work even harder for you, my new online course “Perfect Portfolio” may be exactly what you need!
