What I Wish I'd Known About my Portfolio…

Have you struggled to get hired by your dream clients? Do you shoot frequently, share work, send pitch emails… but nothing seems to be working?

A few years ago, I was in this exact position. I'd been successful for a few years, but I began to want to work with a different style of client, and no matter how many pitch emails I sent, I couldn't seem to get through.

Things just weren't working anymore, and it was incredibly depressing. For someone who prides herself on being the “pitching queen” to be pitching so much, and not get any bookings, made me feel like a failure.

After a few months of stagnation, I decided to take things into my own hands. I began to research my dream clients intensely. And instead of shooting weekly like I had been, I slowed right down and really took the time to plan each of my shoots.

And that is when things began to change.

I realised that I'd been pitching work that wasn't aligned with my dream clients. I hadn't been intentional about any of the portfolio shoots that I was doing, so the brands I was emailing were getting my emails, and seeing nothing that related to them - so of course they ignored me.

It took a few months of hard work, and serious planning, but it worked. I went from shooting for Joules, Crew Clothing and Boden (all brands I love btw, but I wanted a change), to getting hired by brands like RIXO, Karen Mabon, and Daisy Jewellery.

If you want to get hired by brands that you love, then you need to get intentional about your portfolio, too.

My new course, “Perfect Portfolio” is literally everything that I've learnt about building a portfolio tailored to attracting dream clients. I share EVERYTHING. Not only will you get videos, reading and mind maps to study with, I've created tasks for each lecture to make sure you take action. This isn't just a course you read through and then forget. I want you DOING.

Along with the course content, there will be two live Q&A sessions (one in August, and one in September), and you'll have the chance to send your work to me for feedback.

The course is two payments of £138.50+ VAT, or one payment of £277 + VAT. We start on August 1st!

But be quick… there are only 30 spaces, and many have already gone!
