The Love List | May

Happy June! I'm actually writing this on June 1st, but by the time it gets published, it will be 7 days from now.... Yes, that's right, my secret is out. I write these posts quite far in advance! So for all of you wondering how I manage to stay on top of things.. that's the only reason ;) Scheduling is the key!

But enough about that, let's get into the things that I've been loving throughout the month of May... and there's been lots of them!

Favourite Podcast

Make It Happen by Jen Carrington

It seems that I always start off my love lists with a podcast, but that really is because they've become such a big part of my life. In fact, let me know if you'd like me to do a whole post on the podcasts I love, as there are too many to write about here! This month has been all about Jen Carrington's "Make It Happen" podcast for me. If you received my May newsletter (sign up here!) then you'll have already heard me chat about her, but I needed to mention it again because I'm still loving it! Jen's podcast is dedicated to big hearted creative business owners, and whenever I listen to her episodes, I feel like she's talking straight to me. If you're an introvert, you work from home, or you're a creative business owner, you NEED to listen in. You'll love it just as much as I do!

Favourite Book

Highly Intuitive People: 7 Right-Brain Traits To Change The Lives Of Intuitive-Sensitive People*

I bought a bunch of new books at the start of the month, and I'm happy to say I've already read two of them (almost - I'm about to finish the second). The first was Highly Intuitive People by Heidi Sawyer. It was blurb that caught my attention when it said: "Do you struggle with small talk and prefer deep conversation? Are you extremely sensitive to other people's moods? Do people describe you as highly perceptive? Are you exhausted after being in busy places?" and I could answer yes to all of those questions. On a whim, I clicked purchase, and a lot of the book really spoke to me. Some of it was a bit too "out there" and weird, but it opened my eyes and changed my perspective on my personality in a few days! If you can relate to any of those things, I'd recommend giving it a read. It wasn't my favourite EVER book, but I certainly enjoyed it enough to give it a mention.

Favourite Instagram Account

Amelia Liana

I've followed Amelia for years, and you probably know her already, but if you don't, I'm pretty excited to introduce you to her! Amelia is a London based beauty, fashion and travel blogger, and I kind of wish I had her wardrobe... but then again, if I dressed like her every day in Cornwall, I might get some funny looks. She posts the most beautiful outfit photos pretty much daily, her dog is WAY too cute, and she travels to some stunning places. I've also got a soft spot for her, because she shared last year about her struggles with her digestive system, which as it turns out, we have exactly the same conditions. I don't share about my health issues a lot, but I was so proud of her, and felt so grateful to her when she opened up about her struggles and journey. It's not easy to be so open about something like that, and I can't thank her enough to spreading the world about invisible chronic illness.

Favourite Instagram Account # 2

Cat Meffan

Yes, theres' another one! Cat Meffan is a yoga teacher and jewellery designer, and she's got the most uplifting personality ever! One scroll through her account and I'm super motivated to get on my matt and practice. She's shares weekly yoga videos on her Youtube channel, and they're really good! There's something for everyone on there, whether you're a complete beginner or super advanced, she caters to you.

Favourite Thing

I never know what to call this section... because it's always something a bit random! But this month, my favourite "thing" has definitely been the trip we took to Santorini. I shared a blog post all about it on Monday, so you can see all the photos and read all about our trip there, but I just had to mention it because it truly was one of my favourite life experiences... ever!

There we go! See you next month for more things I've been loving :)
