Spontaneous Beauty Buys

You know when you go into the pharmacy to pick up Ibuprofen, and come out with a bunch of things you don't really need? Yeah, that happened to me the other day. My teeth were still causing me the odd ache and pain, so I headed to town to pick up some more pain killers. But I couldn't quite help but waltz over to the make up section, now could I? My friend Estée had been wearing this white nail polish the other day when I saw her, and I'd loved it. She told me it was "White Sail" by Maybelline, and when I saw it on sale in Superdrug the other day, I couldn't help but pick it up. It's so different, and I know from past experience that I love these nail polishes... because they actually last! I grabbed the plummy red colour "Orchidée Divine Wine" as well, because its almost Christmas, and everyone wants Christmas coloured nails... right? I was in serious need of a new base and top coat as well... so in went the Sally Hansen Double Duty. Oops.

I headed over to the counter to pay, and walked past the Collection stand. I haven't ever contoured before... to be honest, I've always been too afraid to. Everyone has been talking about the Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit, and it was so cheap... I couldn't help it. Double oops.

Do I regret my purchases? Absolutely not! The white pail polish has been on my nails for almost a week now, and it's still looking pretty good! I've also since given contouring a bit of a go, and although I think I need more practice, I'm liking it so far!

"But Olivia, your photo contains two more products!" Ah yes, the two lip products. Well, my friends, I am a child of Roaccutane. The evil pills that when you're a teenage and your skin is covered in acne, you think is the best thing in the world. It's only when you haven't taken it for 8 YEARS and your lips are still permanently dry that you begin to wonder what the hell was in that stuff?! I don't know, but I do know that I always need good lip balm. Enter the Fresh Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm and the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. My mum bought me it when were in London a few weeks ago because she said it was the best thing she'd used in a long time, and she's right. I love it too! If you're worried about this product being oily, I promise it's not. It just feels really nourishing. Same goes with the Fresh lip balm, only this is more of a thick cream which leaves your lips feeling slightly tingly and.... fresh! I couldn't recommend them both more.

What products have you recently purchased which you're loving at the moment?

*Thank you to Fresh for the lip balm <3
