S2 EP 3. WHAT TO DO WHEN EVERYTHING IS QUIET

I don't want to mention the C word, but I had a totally different podcast episode planned for this week. However, in light of the state of the world right now, particularly in Europe and the USA, I felt like it was appropriate for me to address what many of us will be worrying about: What Do I Do?
The good news is that there is LOADS you can still do.
Research: Spend this time researching trends, classic imagery, brands, etc.
Outreach: Be sensitive during this time, but by no means stop reaching out to people you’d like to work with in future. When this all ends, people will need photographers to shoot their campaigns for them!
Plan shoots: Use this down time to get creative, build moodboards, journal, and plan.
Do the Admin that you never get to do: I know its dull, but this is a great time to sort out your pension, get that contract written up, and sort out your insurance.
RELAX! You’ve been given a window of time where you can actually take a break. Use it to your advantage.
Back up your files, clean up your computer, and create a solid filing system.
Research your audience: Spend some time getting to know your ideal clients even better, and come up with a proper marketing plan.
Get on top of your SEO: Listen to last weeks episode with Sam Charles and learn how you can improve the SEO of your website. Use this time to write blog posts, and improve your Google ranking.
Revamp your website: If you’re always too busy to update your website, or even just change it’s layout as a whole, this could be a great time to do that.
