The Photoshoot That I've Been Waiting To Share For Months

As a photographer, you've got to be patient. I know that better than anyone. As the editor of a fashion magazine, I'm always having to tell photographers that they can't share the images we're publishing with anyone until the magazine is released. Sometimes that can mean waiting for months. So that should make waiting a few months for my own images to be published easy peasy! Wrong. It's never easy, especially when you're so excited about a series of images that you've done!

How long ago were these taken? In July. It's November, so you do the maths. That's a long time to wait! Has it been worth it? 110% yes. These images have been published in Wed Magazine; one Cornwall's loveliest wedding publications. Not only is it a lovely magazine, it's also the first time that I've been featured in print! Woohoo!

So what's the story behind these images? It's a simple one. I wanted to create a really clean, beautiful bridal editorial, that showed off the skills of everyone who was a part of the day. For Ione, that meant make up. For Ailsa, that meant her dresses. For Emily, our model, that meant capturing her perfectly. For me, that meant getting an amazing result, that I would eventually get printed. Obviously, we've all achieved what we set out to.

All the make up you see on Emily is 100% cruelty free, which is something that Ione is so incredibly passionate about, and something that I can definitely get behind. So if you're interesting in having your wedding make up done by someone who is dedicated to keeping animals out of animal testing, Ione is your girl!

Anyway, enough chatting from me... scroll through and see what we got up to!
